Still alive!!

I'm still alive, but had to take a break on my workouts due to really bad chest congestion from a cold I got last week.  I tried doing Level A, but  anything to make my heart rate go up causes me to hack up a lung.

No pain so far (I'm prone to Bronchitis), but if this gets any worse - I'll need to see doc again for an inhaler.   In the meantime, letting my body heal itself

I'm keeping my eating in check and drinking plenty of water to flush this darn virus from my system.

And before you ask - yes I got a flu shot, back in October.

Day 35 - Sick and Frustrated

Everyone at home has now come down with the bug my little guy has.  Achy body, congested lungs and head and fever.

I'm so frustrated with my health - fears of what is next, my doctors orders to cut back on my exercising, coming down with the bug... I ended up binging to comfort myself.

So I'm posting it out there for people to see...

I ate:  half a BLT sandwich for breakfast.  1 bowl of Chips, a bowl of pork rinds, handful of chocolate rosebuds, a cup of sunflower seeds, yogurt (got sick after the yogurt), veggie stir fry and rice for dinner, another cup sunflower seeds, another bowl of chips and another half a chocolate bar.     I feel guilty and frustrated with myself.

Woke up this morning and it feels like an elephant sitting on my chest.  I'm 2 lbs up (most likely water retention from all the salt I ate yesterday).

Today is a new day.  Another day to avoid strenuous exercise due to chest cold and fever, but I'm taking my eating into check.

Meal plan for the day

Breakfast: 1 poached egg and 2 pieces of bacon with dry toast
Morning Snack: Carrot Sticks and an apple
Lunch: Chicken noodle soup with an egg in it
Afternoon Snack: Grapes and 4 triscuit crackers with 1 oz of cheese
Dinner: ham, scalloped potatoes and Green Beans

IF I am feeling better, will do some yoga.

Day 34 - Not so good news

I haven't told many people, but over the last few weeks I have been feeling faint on and off.

I have been under supervision by my doctor during my fitness journey as I have unexplained bleeding imy urine which causes me to be anemic

After many tests and ultrasounds, they still can't determine the source of the bleeding.

After checking in with my doctor yesterday when bringing my little guy in for an ear infection, she was concerned that I had lost too much weight too fast.   After I explained the programs in more detail and my new eating habits, she was very proud of me (yay)

Then she did a urine test in the office.  My bleeding has almost doubled.   I'm being sent for more ultrasounds, blood and urine tests and setting me up a referral for a Urologist for scope testing (ack!! I hope they sedate me for it!)

The bad news, I have been told to limit my exercises to 3 workouts per week (for now) until we can determine and fix the source of the bleed.

I have to check back in 2 weeks for another urine test to determine if 3 is still good or if I have to lessen the intensity of my fitness.

So now I'm debating on whether I want to switch back to the 21 day fix exercises, or stick with the P90 every other day.

Frustrating.  Kidney diseases are very high risk in my family. One uncle passed away to kidney/bladder cancer 4 years ago, another had to have a kidney transplant 8 years ago due to Polycystic Kidneys. Both my mother and I have been hospitalized for kidney infections.

Day 30 - Photo check in

I'm shaking!  What I workout. I'll be honest - that pause button came in handy a couple of times.

Here are my photos.  14 lbs and 5.5 inches down

I couldn't find my top for the life of me, so had to do with what I had.

To be honest, I don't see much difference  but I can feel it - my pants are loose, I have to keep yanking them up.

Skin hanging more off my arms (bawk bawk!!)

Day 29 - Sculpt B Done!! (Pant pant sweat sweat)

Phew!!

What a wicked workout!

I looked at a few of the moves and though "are you shittin me?!?"   You want to know what?? I did em!!!  (Crab special for the win!!)

Now I know why it's sculpt B!!

Had to giggle with the Fighter Squat Jumps.  I sounded like an elephant trying to do ballet! (Thud!! Thud!!)   Lol   No knee pain and I was able to jump quite well!

And the girl flirting with Tony killed me hahaha go girl!  (I know he's got a girlfriend but shocked him hahaha).

I'm beat!  Time for a shower :)

Day 28 - One Month In, Results are awesome!

If you have been following me, you know that I had originally thought I had ordered 10 Minute Trainer - but got P90 instead.

I was a little nervous about this program, worrying that I would be overwhelmed.

I bit the bullet and did it anyway!

I love Tony's reply - focus on one day at a time. Show up - do what you can, and don't look back.

Month 1 Results:
I'm down 14 lbs and 5.5 inches!   Since I didn't take my pictures until a week in, I'll take and post my pictures next weekend.

Day 27 - Adjusting Rest day to your own needs

Although the official rest day is Sunday - I have found since I started this program that Friday's work the best for me.

Usually end up having company over in one form or another - so easiest to keep my rests for then.

Last night was a good night.  Had a "cheat" meal of oven baked chicken wings - higher in fat due to all the skin -   But oh so good.

I noticed that four wings are good for me (whole). I used to easily chomp down ten.  Yikes - what was I thinking?   Along with a large bowl of salad (light on the dressing) it's a perfect meal.

People always assume that salads are always the healthiest option, but it also depends on what you put on top.  Many people avoid the creamy dressings due to the higher calories, BUT... If you stick with the suggested serving (1 Tbsp), you're good!

But Tammy - only 1 tablespoon?? Then there's no flavour!

Sure there is!  Here's my secret.... I throw my veggies in a large Tupperware container with a sealing lid, measure the amount on top - seal and shake.  Voila! Every piece coated perfectly.  There's nothing I hate more than soggy salad.

Want more flavour yet?  Add some fresh cracked pepper (not that pre-cracked powdered shit you get , bleh!), a squeeze of lemon or lime, red pepper flakes, a shake of Parmesan cheese (keep it no more than a teaspoon). Bam - tons of flavour.

Anyway - got my LAST Sculpt A in today! Will do my Saturday Special tomorrow and Level B starts Monday!

I'm kind of nervous, I ended up turning my ankle last night, so I had to modify a bit tonight.  Hopefully it feels better by tomorrow.

Day 26 - Viewers worldwide

It's pretty cool to see I have some viewers worldwide :)

Hi Poland, Germany, Japan and France!!
Thanks so much for visiting!

If you are interested in this program, we do ship internationally.  If you have a DVDs player that is compatible with North American DVD's (heck even a laptop) - you can take part too!

If you post a comment, I'll connect with you and help you get set up.

Workout was good, ended up having lunch out at work and I had the most delicious Grilled Veggie sandwich and some sweet potato fries.

Days 24 and 25 - Not so Purrrrrrrfect

I didn't do my blog yesterday as I was greeting a new challenger. Very excited to be working with him :)

My kitty has decided to take part in my workouts last couple of nights.  Not sure if she's being lazy or just trying to challenge me.

I figured I was doing good with my crunches until she decided to lay on my chest.   Ok... so added weight isn't bad - an extra challenge I was up for - until the weight extended her claws.

Not so nice.

Tonight she was wrapping around my legs as I was doing my sawyer pulls and tricep lockdowns, throwing me right off balance.

Sorry kitty, but you're going in the basement tomorrow lol.

Day 23 - Last week of Level A

I have seen quite a bit improvement over the past few weeks. I'm a little nervous about starting Level B - so I'm just going to remember to focus one day at a time

I've been letting my eating kind of go slack.  Not that I'm eating badly, but that I wasn't eating as often as I should.  I got used to eating certain amounts of calories for each meal.   So dropping the snacks, I wasn't getting enough calories and energy through the day.

So started snacking again today (had groceries yay!) Carrot sticks for morning snack and an apple and peanut butter for afternoon snack.   I can tell the difference.

Sunday, November 16, 2014

Day 22 - Saturday Special on a Sunday? Sure!

Since I took my rest day on Friday - I'm playing catch up

Making some turkey chili for supper (and weekday lunches). Found some delicious Spartan apples for sale at Superstore.

Doing laundry, then when my little guy gets up from nap - will see if he wants to bundle up and go play in the snow.  -3C, perfect Snow playing temperature :)

I'm actually looking for some advice - I have lost a lot of inches.  Sadly only an inch each in my arms since I started my overall journey in July.

I've noticed that the skin/fat is hanging down more (it's not as solid in fat as it was when I first started) yet I can feel the muscle in my arms.    But if I take measurements without indenting the skin on my arm, the inches haven't moved.

Any suggestions on improving this problem area?

Day 21 - Feeling Better

After a much needed 10 hour sleep, I was feeling much better.

Got in my workout today to make up for yesterday.  Will do my Saturday Special tomorrow (Sunday).

Quiet day overall, everyone feels sick today - so just keeping warm and taking our vitamins.

Leftovers for dinner.

Day 20 - Feeling Hot...and cold...and hot

I finally got the bug going around at work. I froze all day today and sneezed my brains out.  Got a bit of a cough, then got stranded out in the cold for an hour on the way home (-25C).

I'm exhausted, freezing (even though I'm wearing two pairs of socks, a tshirt, vest and two swearers) and have a fever. Probably best I skip my workout in exchange for a good night sleep.

One important thing to remember - if you're sick, don't push yourself.  If it's just a stuffy head - not so bad, but when you're physically exhausted when sick - it's time for a rest.

Night all. Here's hoping I'll get a good nights rest and feel more like myself in the morning.

Day 19 - Excel-lent!!

Ended up sitting in an Excel II class today - other than freezing my tooshie off for the first hour it was a great course :). I love Excel and learned a lot of new tricks 👌

Got home to dinner hot and ready.  I love crock pot cooked chicken - it ends up being so tender.   So crock pot chicken, oven baked fries and marinated veggie salad for dinner.

Workout was great, I have much more stamina that I ever used to.  I still can't do the full sprawls, so stepping it out until I can jump it.

I noticed in the leg crunch/bridges I'm able to get my hiney much higher off the ground than before :D

Dug through my smaller clothes and found a pair of size 18 jeans I could finally fit again!  In fact they're on the loose side. Will have to check out the thrift store for more pants (all my work pants are falling down - half of them don't have belt loops)

No point in dropping a ton of money on clothes that I'll only wear for a while.

So how about a recipe??

Marinated Vegetable Salad
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup cauliflower florets
1 can whole mushrooms, drained
1 can baby corn on the cob, drained
1 cup cherry tomatoes
3 ribs celery, sliced
3 carrots, peeled and cut
1/2 cup Calorie Wise Kraft Italian Dressing
1/4 cup vinegar

Mix all together in a large sealable container and shake to blend. Best if you left sit in fridge for a couple of hours for flavour to combine.

Shake container before you serve.  This will last in the fridge for a week (if it lasts that long!!)

Day 17 - Veggie Catch up!

Phew I feel so much better today. I made sure to eat a ton of veggies (don't worry I got my protein and carbs in too), and I really do notice a huge difference in my overall feeling.

Goes to show you what a difference a diet makes.

Anyways P90 Sculpt A done :). Hubby was cheering me on and snapping photos.

I really hate pics of me working out - but here you go

I have a 3 year old - hence the mess. Lol

Day 16 - Food choices REALLY makes a difference!!

I had one of those days where I'm out of veggies, but tons of carbs around the house.    So my diet was pretty carb heavy today

It made a huge difference on my workout.  I was ready to drop halfway through and had to hit the pause button. I was slow and struggled with a lot of the moves.

Going to have to pick up some veggies tomorrow on the way home from work.  With the roads as slippery as they were today along with the -25C weather, I really didn't want to go out.

Gosh it felt terrible to have no energy whatsoever, reminded me of how I felt before I got into a fitness routine.

Not making that mistake again.

Day 15 - Walking Half Push-ups Achieved!!

Sculpt A done!

I can't help bragging!  I pushed myself harder than ever and kept on my toes for the push-ups and half walking push-ups, not allowing my knees to touch the floor once!!   So happy :D **does a silly dance** (Hey I'm allowed - it's my blog!!)

Okay fine... They're half push ups, but for me it was a huge achievement!!

Now if I could stop myself from holding my hands out further than my shoulder. I really try to keep them there, but for some reason they keep slipping - I think I might invest into Tony's push-up handles - my wrists aren't what they used to be.

I'm also very excited to announce that I am starting my very first challenge group. I'm focusing on getting fit over the holidays - can it be done?  You bet your button it can!

If you aren't following me on Facebook - then what are you waiting for?  Jump into my group "Get Fit" and say Sign me up!!

Day 14 - Rest Day #2

Overall I'm feeling great!  It's snowing out again today so I'll be getting some shoveling in :)

I decided to look back at all of my fitness since I started in July.

I have no idea how to do tables on here, so bear with me...

Here are my stats for my 21 Day Fix program

Since that point I had surgery and was unable to exercise for  4 weeks.

After healing - I continued to do some workouts, but was getting a little bored with the routine and had a hard time staying motivated.  I started gaining back a bit of weight due to starting back at work and sitting all day (I'm an administrative assistant).

When starting P90 I was down another two inches (1" each in the thighs), and weighed 219 lbs.

Today's stats (two weeks in of P90)

Weight:    212 lbs
Chest:     38"
R. Arm:    14"
L. Arm:     14"
Waist:     35"
Hips:     46"
R. Thigh:     25"
L. Thigh:     25"

Total Weight Lost:     7lbs
Total Inches Lost:     5 inches

Now that I'm back into a work schedule after 5 months off, I find it easier to get in my workouts.  I have started walking up and down the stairs at work instead of taking the elevator.   It really makes a difference!

I can't wait to check my measurements in another couple of weeks.   It says to check once a month - but I'm impatient lol.

Day 13 - Double Down!

So I skipped last night since I had family over, thinking I would just workout on my Sunday rest day to make up for it.

Sculpt A done this afternoon and again I'm feeling stronger, can stretch those resistance bands a little further ;)

Tonight I had salmon, spinach and roasted Brussels sprouts for dinner. Yum!

I figured after putting the little man into bed I would catch up with some Star Trek TNG on Netflix.  Well sure as shoot Netflix wasn't working.

Great...

So without even debating it, I pushed back my coffee table, popped in my Saturday Special and hit it!

Phew I'm sweating buckets and feel so much happier.

Yeah curly hair kinda goes crazy when I workout, but the sweat is still pouring!!

I can take my Rest Day tomorrow without getting thrown off (I'm pretty sure the Saturday workout is meant to be the final one before rest day due to the higher intensity of it)

Now I'm going to scout out my snap peas and make some Crispy roasted pea snacks.

And guess what? Netflix is working again!

Day 12 - Best Overnight Gluten Free Oatmeal Ever!!

I had to post this morning due to the most amazing breakfast I have ever eaten!! This is fantastic for all of my GF (Gluten Free) friends out there. You will be in heaven!

Carrot Cake Overnight Oats

1/3 cup gluten free oats (regular small oats will work as well)
1 tbsp. ground flaxseed or chia seeds or 1/2 and ½
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp. maple syrup (the real stuff!)
1/4 cup shredded carrot (about 1 large carrot)
2 tbsp. thinly chopped apple
3 dates, chopped (I didn’t have any on hand, but this recipe turned out great without too!
1 tbsp. shredded or flaked unsweetened coconut
1 tbsp. chopped almonds or pecans
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup + 1/8 cup unsweetened almond milk

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Cover and place in the refrigerator over night. In the morning, stir the mixture and add an extra 1-2 tablespoons of almond milk. You can heat this on the stove over medium-low heat or enjoy cold for a more fresh approach. Garnish with coconuts, almonds and a sprinkle of cinnamon and maple syrup

Recipe courtesy of Not Your Standard website

So I got all my kids at home tonight - I've decided to take my Rest Day today

Dinner is a pita pizza.  Taking a medium whole wheat pita as the shell, tomato sauce, ham, onions, green pepper, mushrooms and a little bit of cheese.

Delish!!

Day 11

I Sweats and abs done!

When I first started this program I thought "I'm struggling with this, and they're supposed to get harder?"  I figured there was no way I was going to be able to step it up.

Well I'm improving in the workouts immensely, sure I may not be able to go as fast in a couple of moves, but I'm able to keep up now!  Two and a half weeks left of level A and I think I'll be more than ready for level B

Are you doing P90?  What level are you on?

Day 10 and my iPad is a piece of crud!

I had an awesome post typed out and the stupid thing crashed on me.

Too many drops from a certain cute little grubby handed Toddler lol.

Sculpt A done.  I was a little teetery (is that even a word?) on the lunges... Mom in law made fried chicken for dinner - so I was a little weighed down.

I felt sluggish but still made sure to get my work out in!  I don't eat fried chicken often!  So I know I'll be paying for it later, hello!

I found a wicked recipe for homemade Granola bars that I want to make on the weekend.  5 ingredients only!

Aaaaand my iPad won't cooperate with me to post the link.  So I'll do an update tomorrow at work on my break.

Anyway - I'm off to hit the shower then bed.  Night all :)

As promised: Here is the link for the Homemade Granola Bars

5 Ingredient Granola Bars

Now here’s something interesting. Jim (the older gentleman) in the Sculpt A video looks very familiar.
A couple of years back I attended the Raymond Aaron Millionaire Boot Camp seminar in Calgary.
On day two, I sat next to a gentleman in a pilots uniform who looks just like him. In fact I remember Raymond very specifically mentioning his weight loss.
I wonder if it’s the same gent?

Day 9 - um... Terrific Tuesday?

Okay these titles are killing me! Lol.

Sweat A and Abs done!  I ended up opening my "H" by another 4 inches and boy did it help!

I have long legs, so I need the wider space.

I'm very excited for 3 reasons today!

1. I ran into a good high school friend today on my way to work! It was awesome seeing Laura :D Going to have to catch up with her over coffee

2. My manager decided to order P90 too!! I'm super happy to have someone to talk with about the workouts (and that very handsome Tony!!)  My new manager is probably the coolest person I have worked with, and by both of us doing Beachbody - we can keep each other motivated!!

3. My hubby decided to join Team Beachbody!! He is interested in the Tai Cheng program, since he has a very physically demanding job, he wants something to help him with relaxation and focus.  I will love to do this program with him :)

Day 8 - Monday Madness

I suck at coming up with these corny titles... If you have any ideas, please post em! I'll credit you lol

Sculpt A done!

What I have noticed in week 1 of P90
- My balance is improving, I'm not teetering as much while doing my sawyer pulls.
- I'm a tad more flexible.  I'm getting lower in my lunges *yeaa*
- More endurance - I can hold squats longer without my legs almost giving out
- Upper body getting a little stronger.  I can alternate push-ups between knees and feet.  I can't do all feet yet (walking push-ups still kill me, but dammit - I try!!) but it was better than last Monday when I couldn't do any on my feet.

👊 Yay! Thanks Tony!! 👊

Speaking of THE man, he suggested I go sledding (when he saw my post about snow). Now I really want to!  Unfortunately by the weekend, the snow will be all gone - but it's November! I'm sure we'll get more 🏂

Good chance my posts are just me rambling to myself - so if you're reading or following along, please feel free to comment! I'd love to hear some feedback!

Just down there 👇👇👇👇

Day 7 - Rest Day

I don't know how to feel about a rest day. I have so far to go, and not working out for a day makes me feel like I'm being lazy.

In fact I even tweeted Tony Horton about it to see why he thinks rest days are important.  Would be nice to hear back - but I know he's a very very busy guy and probably won't even see my tweet

At any rate, I found my workout clothes after searching forever for them.   Decided to pop them on (no worries, they're clean!) and do some new before photos.  Ok - 1 week in photos at least.

I'm not going to stand here and beat myself up - but I really need to work on my arms!!

So without further ado - my newest pics

Okay - got the "thumbs up" from THE man himself ☺️
Love that he cares enough for his peeps to reply!

Day 6 - Super Saturday!

So I finally tried my shakeology this morning.  Chocolate with frozen cherries and almond milk.   Not half bad.  It definitely tastes better cold, otherwise it tastes like vitamins.

Bonus for me - NO allergic reactions! I didn't have to rush to the washroom ten minutes later :D. Vanilla tomorrow :)

I had some amazing energy for my workout and boy was it an intense one!  I think I continued sweating for half an hour after I was finished.  I found a good pair of runners and was able to perform the planks much better than before :D. The kicks were a little awkward as I am not very flexible - but I'll get there.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day, but think I may pop in my 21 Day Fix Yoga disk.

It's now 6 and I'm realizing I haven't eaten anything today other than my Shakeology.  Baby back ribs and veggie stir fry for supper!  Yum!

Since I'm WAY under my calorie allotment, I'm gonna make some popcorn tonight and watch some Star Trek :)

Day 5 - Happy Halloween!!

Well it was definitely a day full of temptations!

Everyone was going around handing out candies in the office.  I had a stash sitting on my desk.  Luckily one of the girls brought her granddaughter in - guess who got the candy?  Yay!

My little guy was super excited to go out as Luigi ("the green Mario") and got plenty of treats.  So I walked with him for about an hour until he was ready to drop.

Got the little guy into bed, looked at the clock and realized it was already 10pm!

My hubby is trying to convince me to not bother doing a workout until I looked down at this...

Well - dang it I had to do it!

So 10 at night, Halloween makeup still on, I went for it and got 'er done!

Now it's bedtime!

I'm excited to see what Tony has in store for me tomorrow with the Super Saturday workout :D

Thursday, October 30, 2014

Day 4 - Happy Knees

My knee feels so much better!  I kept it wrapped all day and during my workout. I was able to do everything and only modifying the jacks :D yeah!

I was sore from my last Sweat A/Ab Ripper session, so this workout really helped loosen my muscles back up.

If you feel sore after working out and want to skip - don't!!  Working those muscles will help you relieve the pain and you will feel so much better :) Think of it like a new addiction!!

I had an amazing talk with one of my challengers today who was down in the doldrums.  She had her program but didn't have the drive to go.  I know what it's like - that was me when my coach (friend from high school) talked to me.

The biggest point I told her was to stop telling yourself "I can't".   When you limit yourself, you believe it.

So turn it into "I can".  Drop that T!!

By focusing on the positives, you are opening up so many opportunities for yourself.  Yes you can!!!

 You CAN do it!

You can find the time (a Beachbody workout is only 2% of an entire day).

You can ditch the unhealthy foods and find healthy alternatives that you love :)

You can choose to do whatever you want.

Once you get the "I Can" into your mind... Then turn it into "I DID"

You can all do it!

Stay positive, don't let others get you down.  You are your own person - with your own goals.

If you believe in yourself, you can do anything!!

Day 3 - Well that was dumb

AM
I really really should have known better. To start slow! Durrr!

Well today I'm suffering from a knee injury. I probably shouldn't have been jumping around like I did and really should have started out with the modified moves. But I was just having so much fun!! Well that's what I get.

So, my job is to find out WHAT I can do, and how to modify the moves so I'm not doing more damage and still getting my workout in.

Yes... I know I'm stubborn.

No... I'll never change.

Will let you know tonight after my workout.

(ps. Yes I know I should go see a doctor... and I will on the weekend if the pain doesn't go away - I promise!)

PM

Stir Fry anyone?  Yum!

Okay! So I got my workout in (yay me!) although hubby was paranoid I was going to hurt myself worse (bless him, he knows how damn stubborn I am).

There was a bit of modfying on my part, but not too much.  Back to Sculpt A again today.  I marched instead of jogging.  Push-ups were done against the wall.  I replaced the running lunges with more squats (lunges hurt, squats don't... Go figure).  Everything else I was able to manage pain free.

Unless your doctor absolutely forbids it, you can always workout around an injury.

Now don't let this post scare you!  I have always had knee issues and I am a big girl!!  If you're my size and have old injuries - start on the modified pace! It's there for you to use it!!

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Day 2 - Day two down!!

So decided to give it my all and then some!

I love how motivating Tony is. Just when you think you're about to drop - he cracks a joke and you're back at 'er.

Again I love not doing the rounds, but move on from one move to the next. (Okay I lied, you do two rounds but they have so many moves in between, it didn't get boring)

I was doing jumping jacks?! Wow!  I hate jumping jacks, but with Tony - I got right into it!

Heck I even got in some martial arts moves! How fun is that?!?

Ab Ripper was also great.  Again, one move to the next. 10 reps and moving on.  1 minute is just too much for me, I like variety.

Are you interested in trying it?  Just click on that handsome guy on the right side of the screen - heck - better yet, leave me a comment!   I promise I'll get back to you!

Day 1 - What? P90? Yep!

So out the sheer excitement of ordering a new program, I had accidentally ordered the wrong one.

I got home from work yesterday, and there was my package sitting on my doorstep in all it's brown cardboard glory. I was thrilled! It's like being a kid running down the stairs on Christmas morning!

I took a deep breath, cut the tape and reached into the box... and pulled out P90?!

Okay I was a little disappointed at first, the reason why I (thought I had) ordered 10 Minute Trainer was because I could work out in 10 minute increments. I also wanted to be able to test the program so I can yay/nay it for my challengers if they asked for my opinion.

So I looked over the book and started getting more excited. This is an amazing 90 day program with a good nutritional book. Instead of getting upset - I jumped for joy!

After dinner, and I got the kids settled into bed (hubby included) I threw in the disk and started it up. Everything you need to know is in a 10 minute introductory video with Tony Horton (very handsome guy with a great sense of humor).

Even after the workout when I felt like dropping, I knew I was going to get along just fine with this trainer (sorry Autumn, I still love ya girl!). There are two options to choose from. You can focus on Sculpting, or Cardio. I do a lot of walking/stair climbing every day - so I chose the sculpting (don't worry, you still get your heart pumping - and not just from Tony's killer smile either).

So after my first workout - I was impressed. It's not exactly more difficult than the 21 Day Fix, but the workout is very different. You do 15 - 17 reps of each exercise, no rounds you just plow through. I love how you see the workout prior to actually doing it.

Like the 21 Day Fix there is a moderator, but the biggest difference is she doesn't jump around as much - other than that, you get a GREAT workout. I shook for about 20 minutes after the workout was done, and I woke up this morning sore sore sore! But "It's a good thing" (Martha Stewart)

As for the Shakeology, I'm waiting until the weekend to try it since I have an stupid stomach that doesn't always like to try new things.  Best to not be stuck on a train on the way to work if my tummy decides to revolt.   Super excited to try them!

It's Coming!!

I placed my order for 10 Minute Trainer on Saturday, and according to UPS I get the package on Monday the 27th.  I'm so stoked!

So after a few rounds of the 21 Day Fix (kind of slacking in the workout department during the weekdays for the last two and a half weeks), I have lost a total of 19 lbs and 16 inches.

So my starting point is: 215 lbs (234 in July.... 240 last year)
I'll update when I get it 😄
